Use 12-2 low voltage landscape lighting wire on shorter run less than 100′ and runs with less than 100-Watts.  Great for LED landscape lighting systems!

Specifications

12-2 low voltage landscape lighting wire is 12 gauge 2 conductor underground low energy circuit cables for outdoor low voltage lighting. Construction consists of stranded uncoated annealed copper conductors, laid parallel and insulated with polyvinyl chloride.

Conductors: This cable consists of two bare copper conductors with integral insulation and jacket in an SPT style construction.

Assembly: The two conductors are laid parallel and insulated. A continuous web shall keep the conductors together.

Insulation: Black polyvinyl chloride conforming to Underwriters Laboratories Class 43 60 C thermoplastic, suitable for direct burial. One leg has is printed on for polarity.

Marking: Plain leg of wire printed with white ink.

Testing: Physically and electrically to Underwriters Laboratories miscellaneous wires. Conductors must be able to be separated without showing copper and must still meet UL minimum wall requirements. Certification by QC that separation test was performed on each reel.

Splicing Recommendations: Splicing should be accomplished in accordance with the requirements of UL Standard “UL 1838 Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Systems”, Appendix A. Connections shall be made using the 3M DBY-6 or DBR-6, or other connectors which are UL listed under “UL 486D-Direct Burial.” The voltage rating of the connector shall exceed the highest working voltage of the lighting system. Connectors that are listed under UL Standard UL 486C as “Compression Connectors” shall not be allowed.
